Well•Spring, where life is shaped by choices, not circumstances.

Since its organization Well•Spring has established itself as the premier retirement community in the central Piedmont of North Carolina. From independent living or assisted living to skilled care. Our campus and accompanying healthcare, and our other services and amenities have brought Well•Spring local, regional and national acclaim.
But we offer more than gracious accommodations and fabulous service and amenities. We offer a home,  a neighborhood, and a true community. Community is where you “live,” where you are treated as family, where you in turn find the warmth, the security and peace of mind that comes in knowing that answers to questions about your needs, now and in the future, will be provided.

Residents in John W. Red, Jr. Center for Assisted Living at Well•Spring are secure in the knowledge that the assistance they need to manage on their own is there for them, as they need it. Services are personalized to their individual needs and are dedicated to their independence, their well-being and their dignity.
Residents can visit with congenial new acquaintances and longtime friends as they gather in the privacy of their own apartments or in one of the many common areas which include the beautiful dining room, the library/living room, the auditorium or in one of the resident lounges which include full kitchens.
The John W. Red, Jr. Center for Assisted Living at Well•Spring grew out of the knowledge that people may need some assistance to manage certain aspects of daily living as they grow older, but still value their independence, their privacy and their individuality.

LifeCare is just what the name implies: a lifetime of care. At Well•Spring, having LifeCare means that once you’ve made your home here, you’re able to remain here – at no added cost other than for the additional meals provided and for related supplies – should your health needs require that you move to the Health Center (Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing or Memory Care). So once you have paid your entrance fee, your monthly service fee for residential living will not increase to the higher daily fee that would otherwise be required to move to the Health Center.

The Skilled Care Center includes a skilled nursing care center with 40 rooms, a specialized Memory Care area with 20 rooms and a temporary transitional Rehabilitation facility with 10 rooms. All areas offer only private rooms with private baths. Residents may choose to bring personal furnishings to create a comfortable home-like setting. In all three venues, 24-hour skilled level nursing care is provided. The Memory Care unit provides structured, individualized care in an environment that is specialized to meet the needs of residents with memory impairment.

Respite and Rehabilitative Care provides residents with recuperative stays with the goal of returning to their independent living settings. These stays last for whatever recuperative time is necessary or until a determination is made regarding the resident’s condition. Sometimes the resident requires services on a long-term basis and then they remain in the Health Care Center permanently.
